Place2BU is home to a diverse group of people, from young starters to refugees, and residents who are referred to the community by social services. Together we make up a lively community!
Fun fact: this website was made by Place2BU community members! We would like to give you a little peek of our daily lives and what it's like to live in our little corner of Leidsche Rijn.
Place2BU is an innovatief housing project in Utrecht, bustling with diversity. We have young starters, permit holders, people from social shelters, and many others all living together. Place2BU is an experimental project, and we're contantly learning and improving. Our goal is to create a close-knit community where everyone feels at home.
With aproximately 490 residents, Place2BU is a big, vibrant place. The beating heart of our community is the Centre Building, where we organise various activities. From the start of this project, we've proven that this inclusive environment works well: it's good for integration, we learn from each other, and everyone can work on themselves. Place2BU isn't just a place to live, it's a place to grow and blossom!
We believe that the best way to strengthen a community is to strengthen each individual within it. Regardless of background, gender, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, or other discernable traits, every resident has the right to express themselves here at Place2BU, in a safe and inclusive environment.
